Congratulations to Becki Young, a long time coaching client of People Biz and partner at Hammond Young Immigration Law LLC, as she has been selected as a winner of The Daily Record’s 2016 Leadership Award.
The prestigious leadership award was established in 2001 to honor the many Maryland legal professionals — lawyers and judges — whose dedication to their occupation and to their communities deserves particular recognition.
Becki Young has represented employers in a variety of industries, including investment banking & securities, information technology, non-profit, manufacturing, health care & hospitality. She has facilitated the sponsorship of trainees, professional workers & “aliens of exceptional ability,” guided clients through the permanent residency process & counseled employers on immigration issues. In addition, she has assisted many family-based applicants with their U.S. immigration matters.
In all, 38 members of the legal community throughout Maryland were recognized for their outstanding work.
“Leadership in Law honorees devote time, talent and energy to bettering the legal profession in addition to the communities in which they live and work,” said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, publisher of The Daily Record. “They demonstrate a commitment to improving communities throughout our state through notable pro bono work and other means. They are also committed to mentoring, which is a key component of this award. The Daily Record is pleased to honor them.” Read more…
