Position Summary:

Marketing Intern is responsible for daily marketing tasks, with a focus on writing, and assisting the Marketing Manager as needed.

Duties include:

• Writing and posting on social media and People Biz blog

• Creating and sending monthly newsletter

• Writing press releases and submitting to media outlets

• Keeping up with leads and new clients and entering them into the correct marketing activity series

• Assist in reviewing current collateral and creating new collateral as needed

• Assist in creating and writing strategic campaigns for new and existing programs

 

Measures of Success:

• Assigned Daily/ weekly/ monthly marketing activities completed on time.

• Content posted in a timely manner.

• Newsletter sent on time each month

• Frees up Marketing Manager to work on larger projects

 

Knowledge/ Skills /Abilities:

Must communicate in a pleasant manner; exhibit efficient time management practices and perform with a high degree of accuracy in order to succeed in this position. All processes in existence must be followed as set forth in operations manual. Basic Software skills include Microsoft: Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel and Adobe Creative Suite. Experience working with all social media outlets such as Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook a must. Experience with Word Press a plus.

 

Education & Experience:

Entry level, student currently seeking a degree in the field of marketing, communications, business or related field. A basic understanding of marketing, social media desired.

 

Hours & Pay:

Flexible – 10 to 25 hours, Monday through Friday. Starting pay is $8.00 per hour.

 

While this position is for an intern, it could turn into a long term, permanent position with opportunities for growth and advancement.
